Auto parts should be reused, scrapped, or placed in the garbage.

Some local scrap or metal recycling facilities will accept bulky metal items. Look up an auto scrap yard or metal recycler near you to find out what items they accept. Some facilities will pay for materials by weight, and in other instances, fees may apply depending on material type.
Tip: Always call ahead to confirm if your item can be accepted.
