Bulky Item: Requires Special Disposal
DO NOT place tires in curbside recycling carts, waste carts, or drop-off site containers. Tires are regulated waste and require special disposal in the City of Omaha.
Tires can be taken to River City Recycling & Transfer Station, 6404 South 60th Street (60th & Harrison Streets). There is a fee to process tires. Find more information at the link below:
Important Note: Tires are NOT accepted at the Douglas County Pheasant Point Landfill.
Where Else Could It Go?
During the Omaha Spring & Fall Cleanup events, neighborhood drop-off sites for bulky items and tires will be available to Omaha residents at no cost.
- Tires MUST have rims removed
- Take tires to the specific site designated for tire collection
