Bulky Item: Requires Special Disposal

DO NOT place this item in a curbside recycling cart or drop-off site container. Bulky items require special disposal in the City of Omaha.

Carpet and household flooring materials like rugs, tile, or wood/laminate floor boards should be reused, donated, or placed in the garbage.

Smaller items can be placed in a black-lid waste cart. Larger, bulky items can be taken to River City Recycling & Transfer Station, 6404 South 60th Street (60th & Harrison Streets). There may be a fee for processing certain items. Call (402) 731-0414 or find more information at this link:

Ways to Reduce or Reuse

New or well-maintained flooring materials, such as laminate wood floorboards in quantities of 5+ boxes can be donated to Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Remove any nails or screws from the flooring before donating. (Carpet is NOT accepted at Habitat ReStore locations).
